Why aren’t asset class allocations showing for my retirement account funds?
The funds in your retirement account are not showing asset class allocations because most retirement funds are private trust funds (or fund of funds). These don’t have public ticker symbols or allocation metadata.
As a result, Kubera can only display their value and cannot automatically map them to a ticker. To include them in asset class reporting, you’ll need to set the asset class manually based on the fund’s majority allocation.
Go to the holding details (click the 4-line icon on the right side of the holding row) → Reporting tab → Asset Class.
You might wonder why we don’t map these funds to a public ETF or fund with a similar allocation. The reason is that trust fund NAVs do not match ETF counterpart's NAVs. Mapping them would distort the asset values, so it’s not something we should do.
This approach keeps your portfolio values accurate while still allowing meaningful asset class reporting.
